Vetrans Day, especially in such a strong military community like the Puget Sound area, can be great teaching points for your kids. Even if your children haven’t been directly exposed to military life by a parent deploying, it is a great idea to hear the storys and the accomplishments of our vetrans as they have fought for honor and our freedoms. Politics aside, there is honor in much of what our troops have done and continue to do to ensure freedom for people at home and abroad. (Disclaimer: I am an Air Force brat and an Army wife)
