Teddy Bear Clinic

This Saturday, February 25th, The Children’s Museum of Tacoma is hosting a Teddy Bear (or other stuffed lovey) clinic.  If your child likes to play doctor, then they can play with their stuffed friend using safe to play medical instruments like Band-aids, Tourniquets, hats and gloves.

As you can see from my Momisms post this week, I am all about exploring opportunities for your child’s mind to explore.  And, who doesn’t want to have a doctor/vet or whatever in the family?!? I frequently tell my boys that they can live on their own with their own rules (frequently comes up during discussions after time-out, ha ha) when they become doctors. So, right now, they like to make me the patient and subject me to many, many shots.  Grab the opportunity to get them familiar with these medical items they will see during their next appointment or for something that could become much larger.  The fine folks at Pacific Northwest Child Life are offering the supplies.
