power of play. Parks provide a place to keep kids active and off the streets. Celebrate Earth Day, Arbor Day, National Parks Week and your local parks in one fun event.

You Make A Difference
Be part of a major countywide effort with nearly 2,000 other people working in their local parks at the same time.

Volunteers are encouraged to carpool to the sites they choose. There is no need to pre-register. Just simply show up, check in with the site leader and start working. Come prepared with gloves, trimmers, rakes, yard tools and appropriate clothing to cut, pull, plant and haul during the three hour time frame.

For volunteer sites and information, contact Cara with Pierce County Parks at (253) 841-8515.

For a list of additional participating groups and park locations throughout the rest of Pierce County, visit MetroParks Tacoma Parks Appreciation Day.
