Fancy Nancy Tea Party

Learning Sprout has a great opportunity to enjoy a Fancy Nancy Tea Party.  The Saturday after Mothers Day, May 19th at 10am, pay a nominal fee and have a great tea party!

You get tea and cupcakes, time to play a Fancy Nancy game and you can make your very own Fancy Necklace.  This sounds like a great time and the flyer, pictured here, does say that space is limited, so sign up quickly!

While this is something my boys would probably not be interested in, as if I could get them to sit still that long unless they are eating! But if you go, let me know how it was!

Go Bananas for Board Games at Learning Sprout

I am so excited for this event.  This weekend, February 18th from 10am till 2pm, Learning Sprout in downtown Tacoma (8th and Pacific Ave) is hosting a board game play time.  Children can play age appropriate board games and afterwards build a banana treat with whipped cream and sprinkles…ooh la la (and YUM)

The room these events are hosted in is pretty small, so if you are not into your kids eating the treat, either warn them ahead of time, or be prepared for the longing glances and possible “But Mooom, Pleeeaseeee?” questions.

As a board game family myself, I am totally jazzed.  We don’t have cable, or watch videos very often, so we play board games.  Not everyday, but every week we will bust out whatever the kids’ favorite currently is.  This is a great event because you can try out various board games and make sure your kids will actually like to play or are old/mature enough for the game.

Tot Time at Learning Sprout

Learning Sprout, the BESTEST toy store in Tacoma will host Tot Time Tomorrow the 15th at 10:30am! This is a free event where you can sing the Good Morning Song, and create self portraits.

We will also read the story ‘I Can Be Anything!’ and use our large motor skills with balls & balloons. So much fun!

Learning Sprout has 2 floors of the greatest toys and items of interest for ALL ages, from birth through to tween.  They have a great collection of hands on toys, books, and even accessories and barrettes for tween girls.
